Job Summary:

Sigma is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform MRI exams and procedures as requested by medical staff.
  • Assist radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures.
  • Perform ancillary duties to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures.
  • Complete documentation of all information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
  • Retrieve and file exam jackets, written orders, and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of MRI exams and procedures.
  • Participate in the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of hospital quality indicators as described in the strategic plan.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
  • Certified MRI Technician certification.

Working Conditions:
  • Ability to work in a busy and stressful environment.
  • Ability to work varied shifts.
  • Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintains confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Computer applications, MS Office, EMR, internet applications, and standard office equipment.
  • Self-directed, completes assignments accurately, thoroughly, and with minimal oversight.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
