About the JobWe are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to join our team at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive work environment.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records, and clinical data. You will develop and implement patient plans of care, observing outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
You will demonstrate competency in various therapeutic/diagnostic interventions, including IVs, incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections. Additionally, you will promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect patients' health, safety, and rights.
Patient/family education is also an essential aspect of this role, as you will assess learning readiness, needs, and ability to provide teaching and evaluate effectiveness. Your relationship-based care approach will recognize patients or their designees as full partners in providing compassionate and coordinated care.
RequirementsTo be successful in this position, you must have a minimum of one year of experience preferred and possess nursing skills and knowledge base specific to the specialty. You should be able to float to any CommonSpirit location within sixty miles of the original assignment location or CommonSpirit-identified 'float zone.' This may involve duties outside of your original job requirements (including skill set) in accordance with CommonSpirit policy.
Compensation and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary of approximately $123,000 per year, based on national averages and industry standards. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, you will have access to ongoing participation at hospital and unit-based meetings, continuous quality improvement data, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
