Job Summary:

Curative is seeking a skilled Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist to provide locum tenens coverage for maternity leave in our 29-bed psychiatric unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing inpatient care and call coverage, working closely with midlevel support to ensure seamless patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage 10-12 patients per shift in the acute psychiatric unit
  • Provide weekday on-call by phone from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM and weekend call requiring rounding on psychiatric units and handling new consultations in the ED and med/surg
  • Assist with new evaluations and summaries
  • Collaborate with midlevel support to ensure effective patient care

Requirements:

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry
  • Completed a Psychiatry residency, with a fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry preferred
  • Strong clinical skills in anxiety, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, eating disorders, developmental disorders, psychotic disorders, organic disorders, involuntary commitments, seclusion therapy, restraint application, pharmacotherapy, group therapy, family therapy, and ECT
