At Baptist Memorial Health Care, we are seeking a highly skilled LPN-Expanded II to join our team in the Emergency Room at BMH-Desoto Hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care as directed by the professional registered nurse and take ownership of actions under this direction.
- Administer intravenous therapy according to state board of nursing rules, regulations, and position statements.
- Develop a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing, and deliver care in a manner that preserves and protects patient autonomy, dignity, and rights.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including communicating and collaborating with professional registered nurses, collecting patient data, assisting in planning patient care, and administering medication as prescribed.
- Minimum: AR - meets minimum IV therapy training requirements according to BON. TN - 6 months experience required and successful completion of intravenous therapy training according to BON. MS - successful completion of education and training provided by an IV integrated accredited nursing program or Board approved IV therapy course.
- Licensure, Registration, Certification: Minimum: BLS certification within 14 days of hire; LPN.
- Special Skills: Minimum: Computer literacy.
