Job Summary

National Pipe & Plastics, a leading PVC pipe producer in North America, is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform quality checks on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate samples of incoming materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Assist with and perform physical tests on plastic pipe and fittings to verify their quality.
  • Inspect plastic pipe and fittings at various stages of production to identify any defects or irregularities.
  • Use specialized tools, such as saws, to cut test samples and perform quality control checks.
  • Distribute reports and test results as necessary to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Use precision measurement tools, including calipers and dial gauges, to inspect products.
  • Perform quality control line checks to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Pull samples from the production floor for further inspection and testing.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent, or relevant vocational training or certification.
  • At least 1 year of related experience, preferably in a quality control or inspection role.
  • Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and directions.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with superiors, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Computer literacy, with experience using Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
