Job Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified Postdoctoral Associate to join our research group in the Department of Atmospheric Science at the University of Miami. The successful candidate will conduct original research, write manuscripts for publication, participate in professional meetings, and collaborate with faculty and graduate students at the University of Miami, Princeton University, and other institutions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on climate change, focusing on improving our understanding of the coupled response of the hydrological cycle, radiative feedbacks, and large-scale atmospheric and oceanic circulation.
- Analyze large satellite data sets and model simulations to diagnose and improve our understanding of key radiative and hydrologic processes.
- Write manuscripts for publication and present research findings at professional meetings.
- Collaborate with faculty and graduate students on research projects.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences or a relevant field.
- Strong mathematics and physics background.
- Excellent writing and speaking skills.
- Strong programming abilities.
