Role Details
We are seeking a part-time Music Therapist to provide essential services across various educational settings.
Location: Various Schools / K-12th Grade
Work Hours: Up to 5 hours per week
Compensation: $35-45/hr

Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct music therapy sessions across assigned schools, including assessments, treatment plans, and daily documentation aligned with students' Individual Educational Plans (IEPs).
- Travel to designated schools to provide music therapy services in specialized classrooms.
- Maintain accurate documentation and data collection in accordance with IEP requirements.
- Integrate technology effectively into music therapy sessions.
- Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere through well-executed therapeutic interventions.
- Develop assessments and treatment plans that adhere to developmental and academic standards.
- Collaborate with the Music Therapy Department and mentor college interns.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and school administrators.
- Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures at the county, state, and federal levels.
- Uphold professional ethics in all job-related activities.
- Prepare for responsibilities in the event of absence.
- Engage with parents/guardians regarding the student's educational journey.
- Facilitate communication between home and school through various methods.
- Maintain a positive work environment by avoiding actions that may harm staff morale.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid certification from the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) is required.
- Must possess or be eligible for a valid license in the state of practice.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
