Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will engage in a variety of audit-related tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Conducting thorough internal audits to assess compliance with established standards.
2. Participating in special projects that enhance operational efficiency.
3. Investigating reports from the State Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Hotline.
4. Performing evaluations of indirect cost rates in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations.
5. Analyzing pre-award documentation for Architectural and Engineering firms.
6. Reviewing Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports for accuracy and compliance.
7. Evaluating workpapers for CPA indirect cost rate audits.

Specific Duties:
The Auditor will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the planning and execution of audit programs that outline procedures for gathering relevant evidence.
- Performing audit procedures and documenting findings in accordance with divisional standards.
- Drafting audit reports that clearly communicate findings and provide actionable recommendations.
- Monitoring the implementation of corrective action plans post-audit.
- Managing multiple assignments to ensure timely completion within budget constraints.

Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel within the state, including occasional overnight stays as necessary.
- Understanding of safety protocols related to work zone visits.
