Job Overview

The successful candidate will collaborate with engineers and designers on nuclear plant electrical systems improvement and modification projects, encompassing:
  • Electrical systems design and planning
  • Complex calculation preparation
  • Load flow and short circuit analysis
  • Power flow and system impact assessment
  • Cable ampacity and electrical equipment specification
  • Documented design inputs and equipment specifications
  • Preparation of design reports

Qualifications

This role requires a strong academic background in electrical power concepts and power systems analysis, with a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering is necessary, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of design techniques and tools. A PE license is beneficial but not required. Preferred skills include experience with software such as ETAP or SKM for transient analysis of power systems.
