Job Title

A Registered Nurse in our Behavioral Health team provides support to patients and their families, ensuring timely transfers to the appropriate level of care.

About the Role

This is a per diem opportunity for a skilled RN to join our multidisciplinary team. You will assess patients holistically for behavioral health needs and collaborate with physicians on plan of care, transfer, and discharge planning needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' mental and emotional well-being, collaborating with medical staff to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Utilize resources efficiently to ensure timely transfers/discharge of patients to the appropriate level of care.
  • Cultivate relationships with local agencies and state organizations to facilitate seamless patient transitions.
  • Stay up-to-date on laws, regulations, and best practices related to discharge planning.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience as a behavioral health nurse.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, general knowledge of utilization management, understanding of levels of care, and community resources.
  • Demonstrated skills of organization, teamwork, strong interpersonal and written communication skills, and flexible work schedules.
  • Proficiency in word processing programs and clinical software.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Certification for Delaware Committal Process preferred.

  • Able to Withstand Crisis Situations.
  • Has Skills To Provide Customer Service to Patients, Team Members, and Visitors.
  • Knowledge and Experience with Electronic Health Records.
Qualifications:
  • RN - Registered Nurse.
  • BLS - Basic Life Saving certification.
Compensation:

Estimated salary: USD $36.20/Hr. (Entry Level), USD $59.73/Hr. (Expert Level)
