Breastfeeding Expert

Foundation Health Partners is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and experiences. As a Breastfeeding Expert at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, you will play a vital role in empowering new mothers to successfully breastfeed their babies.

This position requires a highly skilled and dedicated professional who can provide expert lactation education and support to patients and families. You will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop individualized plans of care, educate patients and families about lactation, and provide support and guidance as needed.

Fairbanks Memorial Hospital is a Joint Commission-accredited facility with 152 licensed beds and serves as the primary referral center for residents of Alaska's interior. Our hospital offers a strong patient-to-nurse ratio and a culture of Shared Leadership.

1. Provide individualized lactation education and support to patients and families.
2. Develop and implement comprehensive plans of care for patients with complex medical needs.
3. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimal patient outcomes.
4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment.

To succeed in this role, you will need current RN licensure in the state of practice, IBCLC, CLC, CBC, or CBS certification, and current BLS certification. A minimum of one year of lactation consultant experience in a WIS environment or setting is preferred.

Estimated salary: $88,000 - $115,000 per annum.
