Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Maintenance Planning Manager to join our team at JetBlue Airways. Key Responsibilities
  • Forecasting and Scheduling: Develop and maintain a 6-year long-term demand model and a 3-year schedule for heavy maintenance, aligning with Technical, Commercial, and Finance initiatives.
  • Interface and Collaboration: Primary interface with Network and Schedule Planning on Technical Operations fleet requirements for Heavy Maintenance, ensuring seamless coordination and communication.
  • Heavy Maintenance Visit Management: Oversee the definition, publication, and execution of heavy maintenance visit bid packages, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • System-Level Innovation: Encourage innovation and interpret technology within the context of heavy maintenance and long-term planning, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Crewmember Development: Take a significant role in developing crewmembers, establishing clear performance expectations, and providing guidance and support for their growth and goal achievement.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reporting on schedule and project metrics, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support and Collaboration: Support budget processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of heavy maintenance and long-term planning activities.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
  • Experience: Five (5) years of aviation Maintenance, Planning, Material Management, or Engineering experience, with four (4) years of management experience
  • Knowledge and Skills: Working knowledge of Part 121 Federal Aviation Regulations, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and exceptional negotiating and interpersonal skills
  • Physical and Mental Demands: Ability to work in a traditional office environment, with occasional overnight travel (10%)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Aviation, Business Processes, or Technical-related field
  • Experience: Management experience in airline Maintenance, Planning, or Engineering
  • Certifications: Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
