This position focuses on maintaining regulatory compliance, preventing workplace incidents, and managing post-incident protocols. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong commitment to safety and innovation, eager to contribute to a technologically advanced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Foster a culture of safety by providing strong leadership and promoting a safety-first mentality throughout the facility.
2. Implement and manage safety change initiatives effectively.
3. Conduct thorough risk assessments and lead the development of strategies to mitigate identified risks.
4. Oversee the incident investigation process, ensuring comprehensive root cause analysis and the application of necessary changes.
5. Enhance the capabilities of team members through effective coaching, mentoring, and training.
6. Manage the execution of the facility's Annual Safety Operations Plan and associated Safety Action Plans, including budget oversight.
7. Promote continuous improvement within the safety framework.
Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, coupled with over 10 years of progressive safety leadership experience in a manufacturing context.
Preferred Experience: Background in safety management within the mattress manufacturing sector or similar consumer goods industries.
