Responsibilities:

">
  • ">
  • Assist the Director, Clinical Services in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day operations of the Clinical Services department.">
  • Assess the comprehensive nursing needs of each resident using acceptable long-term care assessment software tools and according to state and federal time frames.">
  • Coordinate care plans for each resident and oversee the day-to-day care to ensure care plans are followed.">
  • Work with other team members to establish an appropriate level of care in accordance with Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement levels.">
  • Monitor, manage, and provide education on Clinical Systems, programs, and processes as assigned by the Director, Clinical Services.">
  • Implement Clinical Systems and programs in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern long-term care.">
  • Monitor the community Quality Indicators and survey reports and provide recommendations for Success Planning.">
  • Plan, implement, evaluate, and direct the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program.">
  • Apply scientific principles and methods in conducting surveillance, using approved definitions of infection and standard methodologies for case identification, data collection, and reporting.">
  • Prepare reports and presentations for Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Committee.">
  • Investigate and report outbreaks of infection and implement infection prevention interventions.">
  • Assist in implementing policy and procedures to support optimal associate compliance, infection prevention, and resident safety.">
  • Determine staffing needs; recruit, select, and orient nursing/direct care personnel.">
  • Lead programs for staff development and develop work assignments, schedules duty hours, and delegate authority to supervisory/lead staff.">
  • Review complaints and grievances filed by personnel and/or residents and report suspected or known violations of disclosure of resident protected health information.">
  • Collect, coordinate, and submit MDS data to the state and monitor medication and treatment schedules.">
  • Participate in maintaining policy and procedures that govern the day-to-day operations of the Clinical Services Department.">
  • Ensure staff compliance with regulations and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state, federal, and OSHA regulations.">

Requirements:

Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university. Minimum two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Long-term care experience preferred.
