Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Christus Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room, including setting up and cleaning equipment, and restocking supplies.
  • Monitor and maintain asepsis, adhering to strict infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate and respond to emergency situations, using sound judgment and established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including documentation of surgical procedures and patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in surgical technology.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (C-Cert) preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
