Ascension Health is seeking a highly skilled Internal Medicine Physician to join our primary care team in Bourbonnais, IL and Clifton, IL.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine Physician to partner with our team of experienced healthcare professionals. As an Internal Medicine Physician at Ascension Health, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care while collaborating with other medical specialists to achieve optimal health outcomes.

About the Role

This is an outpatient position with a desirable schedule of weekdays only. You will see patients at two clinic sites: 2 days in Clifton, 3 days in Bourbonnais each week. The practice includes 3 internal medicine physicians and 3 advanced practice clinicians, providing a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
  • Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
  • Accept patient referrals from other physicians and act as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses.
  • Participate in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.
  • Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.

Estimated Salary

$250,000 - $300,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
