About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Interfor. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our mill equipment and ensuring a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide direction, training, and support to maintenance personnel to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement effective preventative and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Safety and Compliance: Demonstrate and promote a safe working environment, safe work habits, and compliance with safe work procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve safety, environmental, quality, and production issues as they arise, and use troubleshooting methods to reduce downtime events.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with production teams to maximize productivity, minimize costs, and effectively schedule maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a technical field such as Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: 2 years' experience in an industrial environment in reliability, engineering, or supervision, or 5 years' experience in maintenance supervision.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Proven track record of leading and ensuring safety performance, knowledge in development and implementation of mechanical, electrical, and controls maintenance processes and practices, experience in preventive and predictive maintenance methods, including CMMS programs, and strong mechanical aptitude, planning, and organizational skills.
