Job Title: Lighting Technician 2

The selected candidate will be working for the National Accounts department within M.C. Dean, Inc. As a Lighting Technician 2, you will be responsible for electrical lighting maintenance scope, which includes changing bulbs, ballasts, and drivers on existing lighting fixtures. You will work from aerial lifts in most cases and be a direct interface with our customers. Your primary focus will be on resolving customers' lighting problems in a professional and safe manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic lighting components.
  2. Install and mount lighting controls, devices, sensors, and components.
  3. Operate aerial lifts and bucket trucks safely.
  4. Test lighting systems and continuity of circuits in fixtures using testing devices.
  5. Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.
  6. Diagnose malfunctioning lighting systems and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  7. Read contract drawings.
  8. Troubleshoot EMS systems, smart breakers, and relays.
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. High School Diploma or GED with at least 6 years of related experience.
  2. Reliable transportation.
  3. Must pass a background check and drug test.
  4. Must be committed to excellence and generate high-quality work.
  5. Must consistently report to work on time, work well with other employees to accomplish a common goal, and maintain a safe work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. OSHA 10 certification.
  2. Any other relevant certifications (e.g., Lift/Aerial Training).
