Position Overview:
This role involves monitoring the health conditions of individuals at their designated worksite to identify any changes in their health status or responses to treatments.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing symptoms of illnesses and reporting any changes to a physician or registered nurse to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Measuring vital signs such as temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration rates using appropriate medical instruments.
- Administering medications through various methods including injections and tube feedings.
- Carrying out catheterization and tracheostomy care as required.
- Assisting individuals in collecting medical specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Maintaining accurate records of treatments and conditions to ensure proper documentation.
- Conducting inventory checks of medical supplies and medications to determine needs for reordering.
- Performing direct care duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a valid license and current registration to practice as a practical nurse in New York State, or hold a limited permit to practice.
Additionally, all applicants must have a valid driver's license and be able to provide proof upon appointment.
