Feed Mill Driver

We are seeking a skilled Feed Mill Driver to join our team at PIPESTONE. The ideal candidate will have experience operating semi-tractors and trailers, as well as a valid CDL license.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

The Feed Mill Driver will be responsible for delivering feed to multiple locations, ensuring the safety of themselves and their equipment. This includes conducting pre-trip checks, unhooking trailers, and hooking up to new ones safely and efficiently.

Essential Functions:

• Deliver feed to customers while maintaining safe driving practices.
• Conduct daily pre-trip inspections to ensure the semi-tractor and trailer are in good working condition.
• Operate equipment on the trailer, such as tarps and cranks, to secure loads.
• Wash and disinfect trailers after each use to maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
• Perform routine maintenance on the semi-tractor and trailer to extend their lifespan.
• Keep accurate logs and records of deliveries, including hours driven and fuel consumption.

Marginal Functions:

• Assist with grinding and manufacturing complete feed as needed.
• Help load complete feed trucks and unload ingredient trucks.
• Support refilling micro tables and operating forklifts to move pallets within the warehouse.

Position Specifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Driving experience preferred but not necessary.
• Work Environment:
  • Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and operation of a semi tractor and trailer.
  • Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures and loud noises.
