Facilities Manager for Supply Chain Optimization

Symbotic, an automation technology leader, is seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of its regional facilities and other locations. This role plays a critical part in supporting the company's warehouse automation efforts and ensuring a safe and functional work environment.

About the Role

This position involves managing vendor relationships, overseeing building services, maintaining health and safety compliance, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and customer service skills, as well as experience in facilities management, business administration, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee maintenance of office spaces, robotics labs, production areas, and common areas.
  • Ensure proper functioning of all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
  • Track inventory and order supplies, materials, and maintenance parts as needed.
  • Assist with managing the facilities budget and recommending cost-effective solutions.
  • Work with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to optimize office layout and space planning.

The Facilities Manager will serve as a liaison between internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient facility operations. This role requires proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with facilities management software.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a facilities coordinator or facilities management role.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in general maintenance, building systems, and general maintenance processes.
  • Physical ability to inspect facilities, move equipment, and assist with occasional lifting or arranging of materials.
