Select Medical is actively seeking a dedicated Outpatient Orthopedic Therapist to join our esteemed team.

Position Overview

Join the NovaCare Rehabilitation team and make a difference in the lives of patients in Washington, DC.

** Generous SIGN-ON BONUS of up to $20,000 and potential for LOAN REPAYMENT **

We are looking for a full-time licensed Outpatient Orthopedic Therapist to provide outstanding patient care in our rehabilitation center. Our facility caters to a diverse patient demographic, ranging from adolescents to seniors, and offers specialized services including sports medicine, concussion management, vestibular therapy, oncology, and pelvic health.

Work Schedule

This position entails a 40-hour work week, with some evening shifts until 7 PM and no weekend obligations.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to state practice acts and regulations governing physical therapy practice.
  • Complete required training and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Assess, treat, and manage patient care for those requiring physical therapy, ensuring clear documentation of medical necessity.
  • Foster open communication with colleagues, physicians, patients, and third-party payors.
  • Participate in facility meetings as directed by management.
Qualifications

Required Credentials:

  • Completion of educational requirements for state licensure in Physical Therapy.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in the practice state.
  • CPR certification is mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift patients using appropriate techniques, frequently throughout the workday.
  • Capability to walk, bend, stand, and reach consistently during shifts.
  • Visual acuity sufficient for maintaining accurate records and recognizing individuals.
  • Effective communication skills for understanding and giving directions.
  • Ability to maneuver wheeled equipment throughout the facility.
  • Fine motor skills adequate for scheduling and preparing patients and equipment.
  • Capacity to engage in sustained activities for extended periods, in accordance with labor laws.
