Certified educators will receive a starting salary of $65,500*, while non-certified educators will start at $63,500*.

*Note: Starting salaries include a Liberty County Stipend of $5,000 and a CTE Teacher Stipend of $2,500.

Qualifications:

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

Instructional Planning:

2. Utilize diverse instructional strategies, activities, materials, and technology tailored to the learning styles and needs of students.

3. Assess student learning styles and adapt instructional activities accordingly.

4. Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula for students with special needs based on their Individual Education Plans (IEP).

5. Work alongside colleagues to establish instructional goals and methods in accordance with district guidelines.

6. Supervise and guide the work of instructional aides and volunteers.

Student Development:

7. Conduct continuous assessments of student progress through various testing methods.

8. Take charge of extracurricular activities as assigned and support approved outside initiatives.

9. Serve as a positive role model, reinforcing the mission of the educational institution.

Classroom Management:

10. Foster a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and supports the holistic development of students.

11. Manage student behavior in line with the Student Code of Conduct.

12. Ensure the safety of students, equipment, and materials.

13. Assist in the selection of instructional materials and resources.

14. Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.

Communication:

15. Build and sustain professional relationships with parents, students, colleagues, and community stakeholders.

Professional Development:

16. Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance job-related skills.

17. Adhere to state, district, and school policies for classroom educators.

18. Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to staff committees as necessary.

Additional Responsibilities:

19. Perform any other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Oversee the work of assigned instructional aides.
