Key Responsibilities:

Architectural Design and Development:

  • Direct the design and implementation of scalable, adaptable container and serverless solutions within AWS, prioritizing automation.
  • Establish an enterprise-wide architectural framework that aligns with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to set technology standards that support development and delivery teams.
  • Ensure architectural solutions remain aligned with business goals, adapting to unforeseen challenges as necessary.

Technology Assessment and Best Practices:

  • Assess emerging technologies, industry trends, and vendor offerings, providing recommendations for adoption to meet business needs.
  • Implement and uphold best practices in development and architecture across various enterprise platforms.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks through effective design and architectural decisions, ensuring streamlined processes and adherence to cloud-native methodologies.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Encourage collaboration among cross-functional teams to maintain consistency in architectural principles and design.
  • Effectively communicate architectural decisions, plans, goals, and strategies to diverse stakeholders.

Mentorship and Leadership:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to senior management and technical teams.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and promote best practices throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing high-throughput, highly available solutions in AWS, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Advanced proficiency in Terraform, Docker, Python, Git, and Bash.
  • In-depth understanding of AWS standards, best practices, and effective utilization strategies.
  • Strong expertise in AWS services, including ECS Fargate, RDS Aurora, Cloudfront, and Lambda.
  • Extensive knowledge of AWS networking and cross-account interactions.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in supporting production infrastructure in the Cloud.
  • Experience in engaging in technical discussions with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in creating technical documentation, including architecture diagrams.
  • Proven ability to automate complex processes into efficient pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Terraform deployment automation services such as Atlantis, Spacelift, or TFCloud.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
