Overview

Nationwide Children's Hospital is a place where passion meets purpose. We are seeking an exceptional Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Pediatric Critical Care department.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working 24 or 36 hours per week, with a 6-week rotation of days and nights, every other weekend, and holiday rotation. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in Emergency Department or critical care nursing.

Responsibilities
  • Provides high-quality patient care using a Family-Centered approach.
  • Assesses individualized patient needs, communicates care priorities to the healthcare team, and implements Evidence-Based Practices.
  • Engages in Therapeutic Communication to address the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients and families.
  • Documents patient care according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree; Associate degree with a commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
  • Current CPR certification; willingness to obtain and maintain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON, or other necessary certification as determined by your manager based on business unit.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately $43,915 - $61,440 per year, depending on experience. Nationwide Children's Hospital offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and more.
