Client Service Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Client Service Associate to join our team at Who Staffing. This full-time, direct hire opportunity is located in Cockeysville, MD, and requires on-site work five days a week.

Job Summary:

Our client, an independent advisory firm, is looking for a Client Service Associate to support their Advisors and create an exceptional customer experience for their clients. This role plays a crucial part in assisting Advisors in client meetings, building financial plans, and implementing proposed strategies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multiple tasks, maintaining professional poise, and providing excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Advisors in client meetings and financial planning processes
  • Enter client data into financial planning software and spreadsheets
  • Generate financial analyses and plans for clients, coordinating with Advisors
  • Develop close, long-term relationships with clients to understand their current circumstances and future needs
  • Aid in review preparation and presentation of financial strategies to help clients achieve their goals
  • Attend client meetings, as needed, in a technical, supporting, and learning role
  • Mentor and teach team members on financial planning processes and software
  • Coordinate with the Director of Investments for client portfolio management
  • Analyze approved investments and provide recommended adjustments or additions
  • Portfolio structure and allocation of new client assets
  • Coordinate portfolio rebalancing and monitor progress towards plan implementation
  • Portfolio education to team members
  • Collaborate with Advisors and Operations Department on ongoing cases
  • Participate in weekly workflow meetings to assist Advisors in staying focused
  • Serve as a liaison between Advisors and clients regarding their accounts
  • Obtain client hobbies and personal information
  • Develop close, long-term relationships with clients to understand their current circumstances and future needs
  • Assist clients with operational inquiries, requests, and problems
  • Assist with opening new accounts and completing new account paperwork
  • Become a subject matter expert on Client Experience software and assist with creating access for new clients, demonstrations, and troubleshooting issues
  • Coordinate and initiate Random Acts of Kindness as needed
  • Participate in professional development and continued education through designations such as the CFP, CFA, ChFC, etc.
  • Attend all training for the Operations team
  • Identify, explore, and implement opportunities to streamline workflows
  • Adhere to all company and industry supervisory guidelines and policies

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Financial Advisor office tools (i.e., Orion, Salesforce, etc.) preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent attitude and an extraordinary client service orientation
  • A genuine interest in serving and caring for others
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with precision

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a similar field preferred or commensurate career experience
  • Experience working in a professional office environment preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in the financial industry preferred
