We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse Specialist to join our Operating Room team at Children's Health (Dallas) in Plano, Texas.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with OR experience to take on a leadership role in providing high-quality patient care. As a Critical Care Nurse Specialist, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of care to critically ill patients.

  • Department: Perioperative
  • Location: Plano, TX
  • Shift: Thursday and Friday 9a - 9p
Key Responsibilities:

Delivering High-Quality Patient Care: Utilize your clinical expertise to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care for critically ill patients. Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide timely and effective interventions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, promoting professional development and a culture of excellence within the team. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, recognizing the value of diverse perspectives and experiences.

Communication and Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between the nursing team, physicians, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care. Facilitate open dialogue, addressing concerns and issues promptly to maintain a smooth workflow.

Education and Training: Develop and deliver educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing staff, promoting evidence-based practice and adherence to quality standards.

Professional Growth and Development: Stay current with industry developments, attending conferences, workshops, and webinars to expand your expertise and contribute to the advancement of critical care nursing.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
  • At least 1 year of OR experience, preferably in a pediatric setting
  • A four-year Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association
  • PALS/NRP/ACLS certification (department-specific requirements)
