Position Overview:


The Clinical Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in assisting the Practice Manager with the overall supervision, guidance, and support of the clinic's daily functions, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and standards.

In the absence of the Practice Manager, the supervisor oversees clinic operations.

  • Coordinates clinic activities and schedules personnel to ensure operational efficiency and high-quality service delivery across all clinic sections.


  • Provides workflow support to clinical personnel, assists the manager in identifying operational challenges, and offers guidance for resolution.
  • Collaborates with clinic management and medical staff to assess, monitor, and enforce clinic-specific protocols, procedures, and objectives, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Ensures that charging and reimbursement modifications are seamlessly integrated into all levels of clinic operations by working closely with the clinic team.
  • Acts as the primary contact for patient and external customer concerns, investigating and resolving complaints related to clinic operations.
  • Monitors the payroll system to assist in managing employee time effectively.
  • May also be responsible for evaluating and disciplining staff members directly.
  • Assists the Practice Manager in facilitating the training of new hires, ongoing training, and other educational initiatives.
  • Participates in pre-employment interviews alongside clinic management and makes recommendations regarding hiring decisions. May also be responsible for hiring within the area of responsibility.
  • Monitors staff and supply utilization in assigned areas, recommending necessary adjustments to adhere to budget guidelines while continuously enhancing the quality of healthcare services.
  • Ensures compliance with policies, implements action plans, and recommends revisions as necessary.
  • Oversees and maintains licensure certification requirements for assigned staff.
  • Supervises daily clinic operations in the absence of the clinic manager.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

  • Must be a registered nurse with current state licensure.
