Overview

Advocates is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Outpatient Clinician to provide comprehensive outpatient counseling/therapy services to children, adolescents, adults, and families in need of services. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in mental health counseling, social work, psychology, or an accredited field, and one year of experience working in an outpatient setting with current independent licensure of LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT.

Responsibilities
  • Provide evaluations to children, adults, and families.
  • Provide individual and family treatment to children, adults, and families.
  • Provide consultation to schools and social service agencies as needed.
  • Provide outreach services to clients as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date client records, including written evaluations, treatment plans, quarterly reviews, termination summaries, and progress notes in accordance with division deadlines.
  • Coordinate home visits and maintain contact with client families, as appropriate.
  • Advocate for clients' needs within the program and with external agencies.
  • Attend trainings as assigned and maintain necessary certifications.
  • Attend and actively participate in supervision and staff meetings.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in mental health counseling, social work, psychology, or an accredited field.
  • One year of experience working in an outpatient setting.
  • Current independent licensure of LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
  • Strong computer knowledge.
  • Ability to use an Electronic Health Record to document medical necessary clinical services.
  • Strongly prefer a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
  • Excellent written skills and ability to communicate effectively in the primary language of the program/programs to which assigned.
  • Ability to thrive in an independent role while offering and receiving team support.
