Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Leidos Engineering Inc. as a Substation Site Civil Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional to work on a variety of electric utility projects and contribute to the design and development of substation sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop substation site civil engineering projects, including site layout, grading, and drainage design
  • Conduct research and gather data to support project development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet client expectations
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including construction drawings and specifications
  • Perform construction observation and field engineering to ensure project quality and safety
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in civil-site design engineering
  • P.E. license preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation OpenSite Designer software
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and design programs
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
