Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cell Assembly Technician to join our team at Kirchhoff Automotive. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating assembly equipment, following work instructions, and ensuring quality and quantities of parts produced meet required specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate assembly equipment as assigned
  • Follow work instructions as outlined in Standard Operation Sheet (SOS) and Job Element Sheet (JES)
  • Load/unload parts in/out of welders, dies, trunions, and/or assembly fixtures
  • Operate equipment that welds, stamps, presses, crimps, stakes, and/or rivets together parts and/or sub-assemblies
  • Perform manual assembly, welding, and tapping operations as required
  • Ensure quality and quantities of parts produced to meet required quality specifications and production rates
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Perform light, routine maintenance on assigned equipment
  • Fulfill all necessary paperwork associated with the job
Requirements
  • Ability to read and demonstrate understanding of documents such as safety rules, work instructions, maintenance instructions, employee handbook, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to apply basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding and sound judgment to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
  • Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels in a team environment
  • Ability to work overtime for shifts of up to 12 hours per day, seven days a week
