Job Summary

The Clinical Resource Surgical Technologist (Lead Surgical Tech) plays a vital role in managing all aspects of surgical services and delivering high-quality patient care.

Working under the supervision of the RN, this position is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of care to patients.

The Clinical Resource Surgical Technologist has the authority to request and utilize governing and administrative resources, technological systems, and multidisciplinary clinical experts to manage and deliver quality, cost-effective patient care.

This role requires proficiency as a Surgical Technologist, with expertise in a specific surgical focus encompassing all aspects of patient/family care, including equipment availability and appropriateness, standards, and competencies.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of surgical services, including patient care, equipment, and supplies.
  • Work collaboratively with the RN and multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Request and utilize governing and administrative resources, technological systems, and clinical experts as needed.
  • Ensure the safe and effective delivery of care to patients.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in a specific surgical focus, including patient/family care, equipment, and standards.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician School or Program.
  • CST certification required.
  • 2 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting as a Surgical Technician.
  • Excellent financial and computer skills, as well as analytical skills to gather and interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
