Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled respiratory therapist to join our team at The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset. The ideal candidate will have experience in a rehab center and possess great communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a motivated and organized professional to provide specialized care and treatment to patients with cardio-pulmonary, respiratory conditions, neurological disorders, and physical conditions that manifest into respiratory disorders over an extended period.

1. Develops and maintains systems that build and enhance the facility's reputation for being the unparalleled provider of respiratory therapy and demonstrates the facility's approach to interdisciplinary care. This includes oversight of compliance with facility policies, procedures, clinical standards, and protocols, as well as documentation guidelines and regulatory requirements.
2. Monitors the financial performance of the Respiratory Therapy department and effectively seeks methods to improve this performance while ensuring that the standards are consistently observed. This includes achieving and maintaining revenue, productivity, and gross profit margin goals.
3. Contributes to professional development of self and facility staff. This includes maintaining current professional status and licensure, adhering to professional standards of conduct and clinical code of ethics and practice, and providing new employee orientation and ongoing staff development programs.
4. Aids in building and maintaining the facility's reputation as the unparalleled respiratory therapy provider by contribution as a professional member of the staff. This includes consistently demonstrating the facility's core values, interacting with co-workers, patients, and families, and maintaining close communications within the facility.

1. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of respiratory community, demonstrated leadership and management skills, and skills applicable to clinical discipline.

Salary: $37 to $45 an hour
