Computer Science Instructor

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Adjunct Faculty Member to teach Computer Science courses at the College of Lake County. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and distributing course syllabi, teaching all scheduled classes, and responding to and evaluating student work.

About the Role
The Adjunct Faculty position is part-time, with a maximum of 12 credit hours per week. Courses are offered during the Fall, Spring, and Summer terms at our Grayslake campus, as well as online via Zoom and asynchronously. We value diversity and are an equal opportunity employer.

Required Qualifications
A Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with at least 18 graduate hours of Computer Science courses is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in teaching at a community college and demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based student-focused pedagogical teaching and assessment practices.

Estimated Salary Range
$50,000 - $70,000 per year, based on the number of credit hours taught and qualifications. The exact salary will be determined by the College's compensation policy.
