Job Summary

A leading non-profit healthcare system seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as a Team Lead in our Oncology department. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and compassionate professional to lead a team of skilled nurses while delivering exceptional patient care.

About the Role:
This position requires a strong background in oncology nursing, with at least 3 years of experience in the field. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating nursing activities and resources within the clinical specialty or department. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while promoting a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate staff scheduling and educational/development activities to optimize team performance
- Identify and resolve issues affecting patient care delivery, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to implement effective solutions
- Perform quality assurance studies and assist with implementing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
- Serve as a resource to staff and external contacts on patient care, patient flow, and clinical standards, policies, and procedures
- Monitor departmental compliance with regulatory and compliance requirements

Requirements:
- Active compact license required within 60 days of hire or transfer
- Minimum 5 years actively practicing as a registered nurse, including at least 3 years in oncology
- 1 year in a leadership position or charge nurse position, preferably in an oncology ambulatory setting
- Strong knowledge of Oncology Services required (both Medical and Radiation)
