Bariatric Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Bariatric Clinic team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, working closely with medical providers and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct care to patients, including obtaining vitals, anthropometrics, and calibration of equipment in the medical clinic.
- Assist providers in scheduling diagnostic tests and gathering results, as well as completing prior authorizations for medication and appointment coverage.
- Triage incoming telephone calls and collaborate with providers regarding patient care.
- Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor patient response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.
- NH Licensed Registered Nurse or valid compact state RN license.
- BLS certification required.
- Associate Degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
- 1-3 years of Bariatric and/or Endoscopy related nursing experience preferred.
