Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Elder Care of Bemidji, Inc. as a Night Shift Nursing Assistant. This is a full-time/part-time position with opportunities for casual work. As a Night Shift CNA, you will provide exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being during the evening and overnight shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Provide resident cares in a manner that is conducive to the resident's safety and comfort, adhering to all aspects of the resident's individual plan of care and the facility policies and procedures.
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, undressing, re-dressing residents, and provide hair care, oral hygiene, and nail care.
  • Assistance with meals/snacks, feeding residents, providing supplemental nourishments when indicated, and fresh water and recording intake.
  • Provide bedpans/urinals or bathroom use and measuring output as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining work areas and department in a neat and clean manner.
  • Participate in control of costs through proper use of equipment, appropriate use of supplies, and effective, efficient organization of duties.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the nursing department and other departments of the facility.
Requirements
  • Must meet and maintain State/Federal requirements under OBRA 1987 for Nursing Assistants.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including writing in a manner suitable for documentation.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificates desired.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including group dynamics and teamwork.
  • Cheerfulness, positive attitude, and ability to motivate people.
  • Genuine liking and respect for the elderly and physically and mentally challenged.
  • Ability to work independently and with supervision.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $22.50-$25.50 per hour, as well as a range of benefits, including BCBS MN Health Insurance, Company Paid Life Insurance, and 401k Benefits. Employee eligible to receive up to a 5% match after one year of employment.

Available immediately upon hire. Employee eligible to receive up to a 5% match after one year of employment.

(Must be 21 Years Old) Accrued Paid Time Off, Rotating Holiday Schedule, Scholarship and Tuition Reimbursement, Union Position.

No problem if you don't have your CNA license yet. We will assist with registration, costs of the nursing assistant training class, and test session required to complete certification and obtain placement on the Nursing Assistant Registry.
