Head Custodian, Wilson Talent Center

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Custodian to join our team at the Wilson Talent Center. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and operation of our buildings and grounds are conducted in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the Wilson Talent Center and Evergreen Building are maintained and operated in a safe and efficient manner.
- Plan and oversee minor maintenance and repair work, maintaining a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
- Maintain an inventory and recommend purchase of suitable supplies, tools, and equipment as applicable.
- Receive and complete custodial work orders as requested.
- Set up meeting rooms for conferences, workshops, and seminars within the Wilson Talent Center, and maintain these rooms during the day as well as the bathrooms.
- Complete courier services as requested by supervisor, including but not limited to mail runs, shuttling materials between buildings, and off-site deliveries.
- Participate and assist in emergency drills and procedures.
- Inspect the building weekly, more often if necessary, and confer with Supervisor and Principals regarding custodial work and safety concerns.
- Perform any regular custodial service and/or minor maintenance service, including assisting maintenance people, in the Wilson Talent Center as needed during their shift.
- Work with Facilities Specialist to lead the WTC team in regular work activities, as well as during summer cleaning, renovation projects, and all other assigned duties.
- Work with Facilities Specialist to develop a program of cleaning and refinishing floors.
- Keep the building and premises, including sidewalks, parking lots, driveways, and play areas neat, clean, and free of debris at all times.
- Shovel, plow, salt, and/or sand walks and steps as appropriate.
- Check daily to ensure that all doors and panic bolts are working properly.
- Perform grounds work as assigned by Supervisor.
- Assist at other buildings and fill in for other Head Custodians as needed.
- High school or equivalent education.
- Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
- Must be able to climb ladders, lift moderately heavy equipment, operate custodial and grounds equipment, and drive a tractor.
- Basic computer skills, including but not limited to the ability to use finance software, electronic mail, and work order system.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in working with people and interacting with the public.
- Ability to keep records and do minor analytical work.
- Customer service oriented and motivated to provide quality work at all times.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
