The Opportunity

Silvus Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Design Engineer to join our team of experts in the field of wireless communication. As a key member of our RF Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing the RF subsystem for our StreamCaster MANET product line.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RF hardware development, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing high-frequency circuits. You will be working closely with our team to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

This is a full-time position located at our headquarters in West Los Angeles, CA, with a hybrid schedule that requires a minimum of 3 days onsite per week. On-site days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop RF subsystems for our StreamCaster MANET product line
  • Implement or supervise schematic capture and PCB layout
  • Characterize, tune, and troubleshoot RF performance
  • Ensure overall system design meets EMI performance requirements
  • Troubleshoot RF-related production yield problems
  • Improve design for manufacturability
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or higher
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in RF hardware development
  • Hands-on experience with solving EMI, harmonics, spurious, and stability issues
  • Good working knowledge of RF board layout, fabrication, and packaging
  • Strong familiarity with using RF simulation tools (i.e. AWR Microwave Office, Altium)

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $130,000-$190,000 USD per year, based on market research and peer data. Please note that this is not a guarantee and will vary depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
