About the Role

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations at a technical level, utilizing independent judgment and initiative to apply prescribed scanning protocols for medical diagnosis.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, utilizing correct positioning and patient education to ensure accurate results.
  • Conduct sonograms of indicated anatomical areas, maintaining adherence to imaging workflow and tracking exams in EPIC and GE PACS.
  • Interview patients to gather detailed clinical history and maintain patient records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and accurate diagnoses.
  • Train new associates, radiology residents, medical students, and ultrasound students in ultrasound procedures, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Program
  • Registered Specialty with the ARDMS in Abdomen and/or OBGYN
  • Requires 30 CE credits per three-year rolling triennium to maintain active ARDMS status
  • Knowledge/ability to operate diagnostic ultrasound units capable of B Mode, M Mode, color and pulse wave Doppler, and 3D imaging
  • Ability to utilize EPIC medical information system, GE PACS, and Trophon disinfection systems
  • Workstation/PC operational knowledge
