Job Summary

DePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part Time Faculty to teach courses in a variety of disciplines across all 10 colleges and schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in Philosophy, including Introduction to Philosophy, Introduction to Asian Philosophy, Ethics, Applied Ethics, and Philosophy and Multiculturalism.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments to promote student learning and success.
  • Provide academic advising and support to students, including guidance on course selection and career development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and program initiatives.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Philosophy or a related field.
  • At least one year of previous teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in working in a diverse learning environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Philosophy or a related field.
  • Experience teaching in a higher education setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
