Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team at Summerville Medical Center. As a PACU RN, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring a safe and comfortable transition to Phase I recovery.
Responsibilities- Assess, evaluate, plan, implement, and coordinate patient care in the PACU
- Provide safe nursing care and a safe environment for patients and families
- Transcribe and implement physician orders and document all patient-related information
- Administer medication and IV fluids accurately and safely within nursing guidelines
- Update/revise plan of care as needed, based on continued assessment of patient
- Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification
- Minimum of 1-year previous nursing experience in Critical Care/Recovery
