Job Summary

MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in Gastonia, North Carolina.

Job Description

As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue. Your duties will include:

  • Positioning patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary
  • Setting controls on CT equipment, monitoring patient and equipment, and making adjustments as needed
  • Assisting radiologists with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast media if required
  • Dispensing oral contrast to patients for CT scans
  • Assisting radiologists with interventional CT procedures
  • Evaluating CT scans for technical quality, collating processed images, and labeling them appropriately
  • Scheduling patients for procedures and assisting with clerical functions
  • Charging procedures and supplies used to patient records
  • Loading and operating power injections for contrast media administration

You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. Your attention to detail, technical skills, and ability to work independently will be essential in this role.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, you must have:

  • Eighteen months of prior experience in a healthcare setting as a CT Technologist
  • ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification
  • Licensure in most states
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
