Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Staff Nurse to join our team at Childrens Hospital Of The Kings Daughter. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to our pediatric patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, provide, and monitor individualized nursing care to pediatric patients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring effective communication and coordination of care.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and empowering them to take an active role in their care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Current Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse holding a valid Compact State license.
- Associate's degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric nursing. BSN preferred.
- RN certification in pediatric nursing preferred.
- CPR training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
Working Conditions
Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards. Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities can be expected.
