The sustainability planner will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate the creation of comprehensive strategies, zoning assessments, and infrastructure planning while considering environmental, social, and economic implications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct planning analyses, including those related to environmental assessments (e.g., NEPA, SEQRA, CEQR), climate initiatives, equity, and Environmental Justice.
- Gather and organize raw data through research, interviews with regulatory bodies, map evaluations, and field studies.
- Create graphics and comprehensive reports.
- Assist in traffic analysis efforts.
- Support community engagement activities.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in planning or a related discipline.
- A minimum of five years of experience in environmental planning or a related area.
- Familiarity with Federal and New York environmental regulations, including environmental assessments, climate initiatives, and Environmental Justice.
- Knowledge in ecology, endangered/threatened species, cultural/historic resources, and wetlands is advantageous.
- Technical skills: Proficient in MS Office, ArcGIS, Adobe Illustrator, and InDesign; AutoCAD experience is a plus.
- Excellent writing and communication abilities.
Benefits:
Salary range: $95,000-$110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
