Role Overview:
The Meters Customer Support Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate meter readings through direct customer engagement. This position requires regular on-site visits to collect monthly, quarterly, and annual meter data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain consistent communication with customers via phone or fax to gather meter reports.
- Input meter readings into the e-Automation system.
- Collaborate with sales and service teams to manage and evaluate equipment locations.
- Provide meter documentation to local meter representatives.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Exceptional customer service abilities.
- Familiarity with equipment and customer needs.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Educational Requirements:
Minimum requirement: High School Diploma or GED.
Physical Demands:
- Willingness to travel to various customer locations within a single day.
- Ability to stand or walk for approximately 75% of the workday.
- Manual dexterity for operating computers and telephones.
- Visual acuity for reading printed and electronic materials.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Capacity to understand spoken communication.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capability to pull, lift, reach, and transport equipment and materials.
Special Requirements:
Must possess reliable transportation and successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Record check and drug screening.
