Position: Operations Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
● Oversee all operational tasks within the plasma collection center, ensuring efficient donor flow and fulfilling production roles as needed.
● Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all applicable state and federal regulations, including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
● Supervise donor selection and plasma collection processes, ensuring compliance with all manufacturing records and maintaining the highest production standards.
● Participate in mandatory training sessions and staff meetings to stay updated on best practices.
● Ensure meticulous documentation of all necessary records is completed accurately.
● Collaborate with the Center Manager and/or Assistant Manager to maintain a clean and organized facility, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
● Provide timely and precise reports as requested by management.
● Assist in managing center donor funds as directed by the Center Manager and/or Assistant Manager.
● Facilitate the training of new hires and the ongoing education of current staff.
● Maintain open communication with other departments to ensure accurate documentation and uphold quality standards.
● Foster positive relationships with donors to enhance overall satisfaction and encourage long-term contributions.
● Report any unsafe conditions or situations to the appropriate personnel.
● May receive training to perform minor repairs on plasma center equipment.
● Support the Center Manager and/or Assistant Manager in achieving organizational goals.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Certification as a Phlebotomist, Donor Processor, Plasma Processor, and Designated Trainer is essential. Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in phlebotomy, donor processing, and plasma processing, demonstrating the ability to manage challenging situations effectively.Work Environment:
Work is conducted in a plasma center with potential exposure to biological fluids and infectious agents. Personal protective equipment is mandatory. The role involves standing for extended periods, performing repetitive movements, and may require lifting of moderate to heavy weights.
