Your Responsibilities
A Johnson Controls Security Systems Technician is a problem solver and service specialist. You will address any concerns the client may have regarding a security system. You will inform clients and the customer support center about the status of systems and inspection processes. You will repair or replace burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV systems, Card Access systems, and other security apparatus. This Technician will be equipped with all necessary tools and equipment to operate independently from a remote location.
How You Will Achieve This
As a Security Systems Technician, you will identify and resolve issues with damaged equipment or wiring; readjust equipment, repair or replace non-functional equipment, and test for proper operation; prepare trouble order forms to document temporary repairs. You will also coordinate inspections and/or installations with law enforcement, fire departments, or other relevant agencies. Service Technicians will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of Commercial security, Fire Alarm, CCTV, and Card Access systems.
Qualifications We Seek
Essential
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in installing and inspecting/repairing Tyco Integrated Security, Bosch/Radionics, Honeywell, Firelight, Silent Knight, DMP, DSC, or similar product lines.
- Experience with Card Access/CCTV/IP cameras.
- Background in Electrical/Electronics.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience with fire alarm systems.
- Technical college education preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematic diagrams.
- Proficiency in operating hand and power tools.
- Capability to unload ladders from fleet vehicles and climb ladders.
- Commitment to safe operation of fleet vehicles.
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service.
- NICET II certification or higher preferred.
- US Marshall's certification.
