About the Role

Compu Dynamics LLC, a leading technology infrastructure design-build partner in North America, is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our pre-construction team, you will play a critical role in delivering accurate and comprehensive estimates for our data center projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Travel and Attend Meetings: Travel to pre-bid and post-bid meetings as needed to ensure effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
  2. Organize Electronic Files: Maintain and organize electronic files related to projects, ensuring easy access and retrieval of information.
  3. Communicate with Clients: Communicate any missing information or deficiencies to clients to ensure that all necessary data is collected for accurate cost proposals.
  4. Determine Total Costs: Determine the total cost of materials, equipment, utilities, and labor for construction projects.
  5. Research and Analyze: Research construction documents and analyze specifications to ensure accurate estimates.
  6. Prepare RFIs and Estimates: Review RFPs/Design Docs and prepare RFIs as needed, and prepare estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work.
  7. Coordinate with Subcontractors: Coordinate scope requirements with subcontractors and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
  8. Manage Pre-Qualification and Pre-Bid Submissions: Manage pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions, ensuring timely and accurate completion of required documents.
  9. Prepare Estimates for Project Goals: Prepare estimates to meet project goals, ensuring that all necessary information is included.
  10. Create Project BOM: Create the project BOM (Bill of Materials) for the estimate and submit for pricing.
  11. Ensure Timely Submissions: Ensure that relevant documents and budgets are submitted before a bid deadline.
  12. Note Assumptions and Clarifications: Note all assumptions, clarifications, and exclusions for incorporation into proposal.
  13. Attend Bid Review Meetings: Attend bid review meetings and be fully prepared to discuss the details of your portion of the scope.
  14. Regularly Report to Management: Regularly report to Management and keep clients updated on the project status.
  15. Formulate Contingency Plans: Formulate contingency plans and effectively manage risks that might impact cost and time estimates.
  16. Collaborate with Teams: Collaborate with other teams and conduct site visits to ensure effective project execution.
  17. Assist with Project Management Tasks: Assist with project management tasks as needed, ensuring seamless project delivery.
  18. Maintain Professionalism: Maintain an elevated level of professionalism with clients, vendors, and colleagues, working to establish a positive working relationship.
  19. Provide Timely Documentation: Provide timely and completed documentation of work performed.
  20. Attend Pre-Construction Meetings: Attend weekly pre-construction meetings with the entire team to ensure effective communication and project coordination.
  21. Operate Vehicles and Equipment Safely: Operate vehicles and other equipment safely, adhering to safety protocols, reporting hazards and risks, and contributing to a safe and secure working environment.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree and/or Equivalent Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent education and experience.
  2. 5+ Years of Estimating Experience: 5+ years of Estimating experience.
  3. Data Center Experience: Data Center experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Applied Science, or Architecture: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Applied Science, or Architecture.
  2. 7+ Years of Electrical/Mechanical Estimating Experience: 7+ years of Electrical/Mechanical Estimating Experience.
