The City of Thornton is seeking a highly skilled GIS Developer to join our team. As a GIS Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing GIS applications and solutions to support the diverse needs of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop GIS applications and solutions to support the City's operations
- Work closely with various departments to deliver innovative GIS solutions
- Develop and maintain complex spatial data, services, and performance
- Provide technical training, support, and troubleshooting for all city web map applications
- Ensure the GIS products (data, maps, webmaps, applications, and services) are up to date and in compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Urban Planning/GIS emphasis, or related field
- Six years of experience in advanced computer mapping using ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, ArcServer, and/or SDE working environments
- Working knowledge of database design, data modeling, administering ArcGIS Organizational accounts, and maintaining custom web and webmap solutions
- Experience in Model Builder and programming using Python
